Nantwich Veterinary Group is one of the largest dairy practices in
the country but over the last two decades the equine animal and equine
areas of the practice have grown in importance. The practice was established
at 29 Barker Street about 140 years ago. Branch surgeries were opened
in 1980 and 1990 at Beech Street, Crewe and Maer Lane, Market Drayton
respectively..
In 1995 the Equine Clinic at Home Farm, Reaseheath, was built housing an operating theatre, treatment area and a radiography and ultrasonography room with stables for in-patients.
In July 1998, the equine and Large Animal Departments moved into purpose built hospital premises. Taking nearly three years from conception to opening, this building is one of the largest and best equipped private veterinary hospitals in Europe.
The ground floor is dedicated to the care of companion animals by highly qualified veterinary surgeons and nurses. The first floor contains the offices and drug stores needed to run the business of the whole group.
